City accepts sidewalk bid

The Atlantic City Council approved a bid of $148,638 from 10 point Construction out of Denison.
The project includes sidewalks along Olive Street, from Sixth to Seventh streets, Seventh street, boths sides from Hospital Drive to Walmart, Hazel from 14 to 16th streets, 15th street from Hazel to Baker, Baker from 15th to 16th and 16th Street from Olive to Oak street.
The city received two bids for the project, the second coming from Carley Construction for $162,632.
Officials say the priority is to complete the sidewalks along Seventh Street by Nov. 1 and the rest as time permits.
